Cathy Kinney, LaQuinta Inn by Wyndham Cincinnati Sharonville
I just wanted to give a shout out to the Chamber for letting us host the North Cincy Connect Meeting on November 6th. We had a great turn out and I would say most if not all of the members who attended had never been to our hotel before. They had no idea that we had meeting space here. This meeting was held in the Sharonville Room which is 34' X 32' and was perfect for a meeting for 20 ppl in a hollow square setting.
I offered a tour of the rest of the hotel and showed sleeping rooms of which we have King and Double Queen Suites and standard king and queen rooms. We have 50 suites here, which is very unusual for a hotel with 150 rooms!
I also offered a tour of the Wyndham Ballroom and Foyer and that was a surprise to them. Our ballroom will hold 150 people for a banquet and 84 ppl for a classroom setting. The Foyer area outside the ballroom is private and offers a unique setting before entering the ballroom. The Ballroom has a sound system built in and built in screen for AV.
As a result of this tour, I actually booked an event in the ballroom along with a room block for January! We are even thinking the space would be great for a Chamber event or luncheon! I also talked with Dominick with Flavor Catering to refer him to clients that need catering for an event here.
Just being able to showcase the hotel in this type of casual setting was great! I had coffee cake and scones from the Bluebird Bakery and everyone mingled and networked. I don't think anyone sat down. However, I have attended events like this where everyone introduced themselves and their business, which is nice in case you did not have a chance to chat with everyone there.
I highly recommend hosting this event or any of the networking events offered by the North Cincy Chamber if you have an actual space to do so!
Thanks, Lori and Staff for a very nice event!

I have been a member of the Northern Cincinnati Chamber since it’s inception. I find the connectivity within our Business Community is a direct result of the Chamber’s influence. I have always enjoyed networking at the Business After Hours and the Business Connection Lunches, which also provide great learning opportunities.
In the last couple of years I’ve joined the Business Roundtable and have received sound advice on how to run my business from other small business owners. Last year, I became a part of TRN, The Referral Network, and I’ve found enthusiastic and supportive business partners that trust each other and really work to refer business to each other.
As you can see, I’m very happy with the Northern Cincinnati Chamber and what it brings to my business and our business community.
